If you are between 15 and 20 years old and no longer attending regular school, they can offer you a fantastic opportunity. They offer a full-time, two-year programme that is designed to help you succeed in further education, training, or employment.

As well as the QQI subjects, their centres offer young people options such as: computer technology, personal development. In addition to academic learning, their programmes offer a range of experiences including work placements, entrepreneurship education, career guidance, community engagement, recreational activities, mentorship, and practical life skills training.

The four Youthreach centres are located across the county to cater for the need of young people. The Leaving Certificate Applied (LCA) Youthreach centre was established to support learners in the community who left school early but now wish to pursue academic qualifications.

The Youthreach programme enables young people to achieve a qualification and enhance their skills. During their time there, they will undertake the Leaving Cert Applied Programme, a two-year course tailored to prepare them for the workforce and lifelong learning.

This hands-on approach suits individuals who thrive on practical learning and prefer continuous assessment. The Leaving Cert Applied qualification opens doors to a variety of opportunities, including Post Leaving Certificate (PLC) courses at FETAC Level 5, apprenticeships, and vocational training awards.

With locations in Listowel, Killarney, and Tralee, we are easily accessible to young people across Kerry. Ready to take the next step? Learn more about our program on the Kerry ETB website.
