  • Let your Local Intreo Centre know prior to starting employment. If you will be working 4 days or more each week please log into mywelfare.ie and close your claim.

If you have gained part time employment please complete a UP80 (Employer Declaration for Casual/Part Time/Short Time employment). This can be found here Short Time Work Support  and upload to your claim via www.mywelfare.ie document upload option once you have logged into your claim.

  • If you are receiving a Jobseeker Benefit payment, one fifth of your weekly payment will be deducted for every day worked.

If you are receiving any Allowance payment a new means assessment will be done on your claim based on earnings for your family unit. You will receive your own personal means assessment once it has been completed. You will be advised how much will be deducted from your weekly payment for every day worked.

Information on how a means assessment is completed can be found here: gov.ie – Operational Guidelines: Means Assessment (www.gov.ie)

Please note that if your personal or family circumstances change you must notify your Local Intreo Office to avoid sanctions.
